Caplugs engineers have designed the next generation of Open-End Thread Protectors. Caplugs new patented design has vertical ribs allowing the part to slide easily over threads with minimal effort. For ease of removal, the new OE parts have an internal tear ring that can be easily grabbed and pulled to remove the OE cap quickly and safely with no damage to the pipe end. For a higher level of protection, these pipe caps were developed with an internal bead to keep moisture from reaching the threads while in transit and storage.

Sizes 2 1/2″ through 10″ are now available!

If you prefer the Traditional OE cap Design, Caplugs still carries the full line (OE 311 – OE 322) as shown below. The traditional OE Series was also designed to protect threaded pipe and threaded conduit during transit. A locking bead ensures that the cap fits snugly on and stays intact until it is intentionally removed.

Both the Traditional Design OE Series and the New Patented Design OE Series are available to match either the Rigid Metal Conduit (RMC) or Intermediate Metal Conduit (IMC) color codes. When ordering, please refer to the color chart below and select the color for your application.
