This model of production ESD PU chair is intended to provide an alternative to the traditional approach of grounding yourself when you need it. It uses a conductive material, typically copper tape.
The effectiveness can be improved by using more material and having more overlap between areas that connection is desired upon, it avoids the static charge on the clothing.
